">The Role of Benefits Account Manager
">We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Account Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a hybrid position (3 days in-office per week + 2 days from home), this role will involve servicing client accounts from beginning to end, including managing Open Enrollment requirements, facilitating presentations, and providing product information.
">Key Responsibilities

- Spearhead the full-cycle renewal process for assigned clients, prepare proposals, and conduct market research to support new and renewal business.">
- Provide exceptional customer service to group administrators, answering coverage questions and resolving claim issues.">
- Collaborate closely with Scott's accounting division to reconcile commission shortages/overages and communicate frequently with insurance carriers.">
- Document all renewal activities in Applied Epic and Zywave's Brokerage Builder (agency management system).">
- Work with production team members to address client needs and requests.">
- Attend industry events and seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and participate in continuing education opportunities.">
Requirements
">- ">
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.">
- At least 2 years of benefit administration experience.">
- Active Life & Health license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.">
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.">
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.">
- Strong organizational skills and experience prioritizing multiple tasks and requests.">
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel.">
- CEBS designation preferred but not required.">
- Experience with ZyWave suite/Brokerage Builder preferred but not required.">
Compensation Package
">We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
