Director of Supportive Housing Operations

Lighthouse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supportive Housing to lead the organization's supportive and transitional housing programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housing and supportive services, with a focus on housing first and trauma-informed care.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Supportive Housing Department, including program management, staff supervision, and budget development. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing departmental strategies, ensuring alignment with Lighthouse's greater mission and strategy.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and community partners. They will also have a strong understanding of HUD regulations and CoC rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Supportive Housing Department, including program management and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies, ensuring alignment with Lighthouse's greater mission and strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and CoC rules and regulations.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, including program-related expenses.
Requirements
- Master's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university.
- 7+ years' experience in a role directly or indirectly related to a human/social services and/or case management.
- Experience working with CoC's and Coordinated Entry Systems.
- HUD Certified Housing Counselor.
- Knowledge of the social services landscape in Oakland County and surrounding areas.
- HMIS experience.
- Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed Care, Housing First, and SPDAT training.
- Proven ability to work effectively with racially and ethnically diverse clients and teams.
- Experience in managing and leading teams.
- Ability to build consensus and resolve conflict; exhibits willingness to have difficult conversations.
- Exceptional communication ability, both written and oral.
- Ability to listen and accept feedback constructively.
- Possess high emotional intelligence skills.
- Unwavering personal integrity.
