Intensive Care Unit Nursing Leadership Position

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Progressive Care Unit team at TriCities Hospital.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during their designated shift. They will collaborate with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Required Nursing graduate with RN Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing
- Required One (1) year experience as RN with demonstrated proficiency leadership and management skills
- Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Preferred Two (2) years' experience as an RN in a Charge Nurse role
- Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
