We are seeking a skilled Master Sushi Culinary Artist to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets in Northborough, MA. As a valued member of our culinary team, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality sushi products that meet the highest standards of taste and presentation.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $19-$20 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, higher premium pay rates for overtime and Sundays, and health care benefits that provide a high level of coverage at a low cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a variety of delicious raw, cooked, and vegetable sushi rolls and other unique menu items using a passion for preparing food and developing skills and talents needed to succeed in a restaurant setting.
  • Work effectively to ensure incredible service is provided to guests by handling tasks such as consistently preparing ingredients and creating high-quality meals.
  • Maintain proper recipes, knife skills, and cooking techniques when prepping ingredients and preparing menu items to produce consistent outcomes.
  • Efficiently multitask and balance prep work while ensuring guest meals are prepared in a timely manner with the highest standards of quality maintained.
Requirements
  • Food preparation experience is essential for this role, along with knowledge of related products.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience cutting sashimi and sushi neta, as well as experience in Sushi preparation in a high-volume retail environment.
  • A minimum age requirement of 18 years applies.
