We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Beacon Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients receiving care in our psychiatric units.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients by orienting them to the unit, reviewing unit rules, and ensuring compliance with established regulations.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting their privacy and dignity.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently using various forms and records.
  • Participate in recreational, educational, and social activities designed to support patient recovery and well-being.
  • Support departmental operations by greeting visitors, answering phones, and facilitating communication among patients, families, physicians, and team members.

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in job demands.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds and in crisis situations.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand medical and non-medical terms, as well as follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in typing to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.

**Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
