Facilities Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced facilities manager to maintain the physical school/town facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety.
About the Role:- Serve as a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations and ensuring that all facilities meet high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities and deliver exceptional results.
- Be responsible for building and event setups, cleanups, and nightly security checks, taking proactive steps to prevent any issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with the Director of Facilities to address any maintenance-related issues or concerns, ensuring timely resolutions and minimal disruption to our operations.
- Evaluate the performance of custodial staff, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary training is desirable, demonstrating your commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- You must hold a valid State of Maine Criminal History Records Check Approval, ensuring you have met the necessary background checks and adhere to our strict policies.
- Demonstrate your aptitude for supervision, organization, training of employees, and safe use of cleaning products, showcasing your ability to lead and motivate your team.
- Mental demands include calculating, comparing, editing, evaluating, interpreting, organizing, consulting, analyzing, planning, designing, documenting, specifying, coordinating, implementing, and presenting, requiring you to stay focused and composed under pressure.
- Physical demands involve adjusting, connecting, painting, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, climbing stairs, writing, operating equipment, and using ladders and scaffolding, necessitating excellent physical fitness and stamina.
- Environmental conditions include working outside, inside, on slippery surfaces, near microwaves, with chemical exposure, biological exposure, around moving objects or vehicles, and working alone, demanding adaptability and resilience.
