About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension, providing you with a stable and rewarding experience. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Supplemental Health Care, you'll have the chance to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality patient care and supporting your professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver respiratory care services to individual patients and their families, applying clinical expertise and critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate patient care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies throughout the facility, demonstrating exceptional judgment and decision-making skills to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • A valid Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner certification, reflecting your commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in acute care settings, showcasing your adaptability and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association, highlighting your dedication to staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Strong customer service skills, enabling you to build trust with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • The ability to multitask effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Windows NT and familiarity with computerized respiratory equipment.
