Job Title: Senior Battery Pack Sourcing Specialist

Gotion, Inc. is a leading power battery technology company that provides innovative solutions for electric vehicles and energy storage. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Pack Sourcing Specialist to join our team in North America.

Job Summary:

The Senior Battery Pack Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing regional strategies for localizing battery pack and Energy Storage (ES) sub-components in North America. This includes supplier sourcing, onboarding, and price negotiation, as well as improving quality and on-time delivery service performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop regional strategies for localizing battery pack and ES sub-components in North America
  • Source and onboard suppliers, negotiate prices, and improve quality and delivery performance
  • Initiate, develop, and execute sourcing strategic initiatives for Battery Pack and ES sub-components
  • Implement annual cost reduction targets for Pack/ES components and promote VA/VE plans
  • Manage relationships with internal customers and stakeholders to provide best overall outcomes from the supply chain
Requirements:
  • More than 3 years of work experience in purchasing or supply chain management
  • Bachelor's degree or above in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, chemical engineering, or related majors
  • Broad purchasing experience in automotive, Energy Storage, or another manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards like IATF16949 or VDA, and understanding of APQP and PPAP
  • Market knowledge and intelligence of the supply base in North America, China, and other regions
  • Global sourcing experience and global strategic thinking, as well as knowledge of global trade rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in battery pack components, power electronics, and other related electrification commodities
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English
  • Mandarin or Chinese working experience is a plus
