Job Overview:

The U.S. Army is seeking skilled Helicopter Mechanic Specialists to join its team. As a critical member of the military's aviation maintenance force, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters.

About the Job:

As a Helicopter Mechanic Specialist, you will perform routine maintenance tasks, including engine disassembly and repair, repair of aluminum, steel and fiberglass airframes/coverings, and repair of hydraulic, fuel and electrical systems. You will also assist in diagnosing/troubleshooting issues with aircraft subsystems.

Requirements:

  • You must be between the ages of 17–40
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Submit to background and medical screening
  • Receive a passing score on the ASVAB

Training and Benefits:

As a Helicopter Mechanic Specialist, you will receive 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction.
