Overview

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is seeking a Medical Oncologist to provide exceptional clinical care in an environment that promotes healing, health, and wellness. The Celilo Cancer Center offers full-spectrum cancer care, including expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, breast and reconstructive surgery.

The Cancer Center provides patients with Reiki, a healing garden, and a free wig/hat program. Our robust on-site nurse navigation program for breast cancer and oral chemotherapy ensures personalized care. We participate in annual cancer screening events and survivorship programs, and offer grief rituals to honor patients we have lost.

Located in the majestic Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles features old-growth forests, rushing waterfalls, and year-round access to outdoor recreation. The area boasts award-winning wineries, affordable housing, and warm, friendly people. As a Medical Oncologist, you will get to know your patients and their families, building relationships that will last a lifetime.

Responsibilities

The Physician provides clinical services within the scope of practice of their specialty and adheres to all evaluation, treatment, procedure, and mediation guidelines. They conduct themselves in a professional manner, following confidentiality policies and working cooperatively with other staff. Regular evaluations of staff and provider performance ensure constructive feedback and realistic expectations.

The physician must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient/client served. Based on this knowledge, they provide service according to the identified age-specific needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for:

  • A Board Certified (or Board-Eligible) Physician with a Residency and Fellowship in Medical Oncology.
  • MD or DO with Oregon state licensure.
  • Knowledgeable with electronic medical records system.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys working with peers, clinical, and support staff.
