About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Autism Support Specialist to join our team in providing community habilitation and respite services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Job Summary

The Autism Support Specialist will work directly with individuals, implementing and monitoring individualized habilitation plans to increase skill levels and reduce challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide transportation for individuals as required to carry out goals and services outlined in their Habilitative Plan.
  • Implement and monitor Individual Habilitation plans for people receiving services through the OPWDD Home and Community Based Waiver Program.
  • Deliver direct habilitation services to individuals while assessing the appropriateness of their plan, progress, regression, and continued appropriateness.
  • Oversee the safety and well-being of individuals.
  • Maintain and regularly compile data and documentation to be reviewed by supervisors as required.
  • Participate in activities as part of the treatment team, including meetings, trainings, and committees.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment through collaborative teamwork and positive communication in alignment with Kelberman's culture, values, and mission.

Salary and Benefits
