Job Summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Support Specialist to oversee administrative activities for a multi-investigator, multi-project research grant. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, specifically with the DF/HCC Prostate SPORE's Principal Investigators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for research grant activities, including data entry, document preparation, and scheduling meetings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for investigators, laboratory personnel, and visiting speakers.
  • Plan and prepare conferences and retreats, including venue booking, speaker coordination, and audiovisual equipment arrangement.
  • Assist with grant applications, manuscript preparation, and expense reporting.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required, including website maintenance and donor relations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years relevant experience working in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology-oriented business environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership, and external contacts.
