Cardiology Clinical Support Specialist

At Kent Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team as a Clinical Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced office setting.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with physicians to provide clinical support, triage incoming calls, communicate lab results, and facilitate medication refill processes. As the first point of contact for patients, this role requires strong critical thinking skills, experience, and effective communication abilities to effectively triage patient conditions and provide clinical and medication counseling as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support in an office setting, collaborating with physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Triage incoming calls, communicating lab results, and facilitating medication refill processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, utilizing strong critical thinking skills and experience to effectively triage patient conditions.
- Communicate information to physicians, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of patient issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and associated databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Requirements
- Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- 5 years CCU experience required.
- 2 years' experience in clinical exercise testing including stress echo, nuclear stress testing, and pharmacologic stress testing.
- 1 year of prior cardiology office RN support staff experience required.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Rhode Island. BCLS and ACLS certification required.

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, ranging from $85,000 to over $120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
