Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Activities Therapist to join our team at Washington Senior Living. As an Activities Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing engaging and therapeutic activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' capabilities, needs, and interests to develop personalized therapy plans.
  • Lead therapy sessions that focus on improving residents' mental and physical health, using a range of techniques and activities.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to plan and evaluate therapy programs, ensuring they meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Encourage residents to participate in leisure activities that promote their physical and mental health, such as sports, games, arts, and crafts.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans that support residents' transition back to their communities.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
