Locomotive Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Locomotive Engineer to join our team at Iowa Interstate Railroad. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains across our network.

• Operate locomotives to transport freight safely and efficiently
• Monitor and maintain train movements, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Collaborate with other crew members to ensure smooth train operations
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on locomotives and equipment

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
