Advanced Oncology Nurse for High-Acuity Units

About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled advanced oncology nurse to join our team at James Cancer Hospital. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work with patients who require complex care.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing various types of cancer treatment, including autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal outcomes for patients.
- Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in oncology nursing.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher required.
- Experience: At least one year of experience in medical-surgical/telemetry (MS/Tele) and oncology nursing, with a focus on high-acuity units.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification, and ACLS certification within one year of starting.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Schedule:
The schedule for this position may include working every weekend, and the facility will determine the complete schedule. The facility also offers opportunities for travelers to renew certifications such as BLS and ACLS at the facility.
Compensation:
This position is estimated to pay around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Aya-only requirements include NIH certification for ER and all Critical Care RNs, and Dysrhythmia/EKG Exam certification within one year of starting.
