We're seeking a highly creative and versatile Founding Designer to join our early-stage team at MedBill AI. As our first full-time designer, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape the visual identity, user experience, and overall design strategy for our V1 app launch.

About the Role

This role might be a good fit if you have 4-7 years of design experience, have worked in both large companies and startups, and are comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.   • Lead Comprehensive Design: Spearhead UX/UI design across our entire platform, including marketing website, iOS, Android, application website, internal tools, consumer-facing application with emphasis on user support experiences, public-facing web presence for various stakeholders, and brand identity and marketing materials across various distribution platforms (digital and print).
  • Drive Design Projects: Manage the full design lifecycle from conceptualization to launch, including establishing design patterns, creating low and high-fidelity mockups, developing interactive prototypes, working with our lead product manager to support successful product releases.
  • Champion User-Centric Design: Conduct and facilitate user research to deeply understand needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Engage with Clients: Participate actively in customer interactions to gather requirements and deliver innovative design solutions.
  • Build Scalable Design Infrastructure: Develop and refine design systems, processes, and tools to support our growing product ecosystem and brand evolution.
  • Collaborate Strategically: Work closely with cross-functional teams and CEO to balance rapid growth with long-term sustainability and profitability.
  • Foster Design Excellence: As we expand, build processes and culture that fosters design excellence in everything that we do.
About You
  • Experience: 4-7 years of design experience, preferably 3+ years of product design experience with a mix of startup and large company environments. Experience in D2C applications is a plus.
  • Proven Track Record: You've designed consumer-facing applications that demonstrate clear impact on adoption and retention. You have a portfolio demonstrating your design taste and creativity.
  • Data-Driven Design: Strong ability to use analytics and user behavior data to inform design decisions and optimize for key metrics.
  • Versatility: Proficient in various design disciplines, including UX/UI, brand design, and visual design.
  • Technical Skills: Expert in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping software. Understand HTML and CSS and can use no-code tools like Framer.
  • User-Centric: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and ability to translate user needs into elegant design solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial: You're resourceful, adaptable, and thrive in ambiguity. You can take projects from concept to execution with minimal guidance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with non-designers.
  • Growth-Oriented: You're excited by the opportunity to grow into a Head of Design role as we scale and build a design function from the ground up.
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
