Medical Professional for Disability Assessments
1 week ago
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Professional to join our team at MRG Exams. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for conducting medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran. You will then electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
This position is distinct from traditional clinical roles, as you will NOT make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations. Your focus will be solely on performing Disability Assessments on Veterans, without any responsibility for treatment or medication prescription.
As a Medical Professional in this role, you will conduct an average of 3-5 assessments per day, making your time management and organizational skills crucial to success. A set schedule during normal business hours and NO on-call responsibilities ensure a healthy work-life balance.
A few of the essential attributes we seek in a candidate include:
- A strong interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments
- The ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet requirements
- A current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in using computers for documentation and communication
To excel in this position, you must possess a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA. Our organization provides comprehensive training and continued support to ensure your success.
Benefits of working with us include:
- Health Insurance options available to protect your well-being
- A company-provided computer to streamline your workflow
- A typical day consisting of 3 to 5 patient assessments
- An opportunity to serve the Veteran community while maintaining a healthy work-life balance
Please note that all work is performed in a clinical setting, ensuring your comfort and safety throughout the assessment process. By joining our team, you will contribute to the important mission of serving America's heroes.
