About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consulting Engineer to join our Customer Excellence team. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve real-world engineering problems, and deploy Ansys software in their design workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in the delivery of specific customer-facing technical consulting projects.
  • Credibly and professionally execute consulting projects that are sold, as defined in the Statement of Work, resulting in high customer satisfaction and delivering value to our customers.
  • Actively engage with the sales teams and customers to identify opportunities to provide consulting services that enhance the utilization of simulation in product development.
  • Work as an integral member of the Sales and ACE teams to progress and secure the consulting business.
  • Monitor the execution and delivery of consulting projects to ensure customer satisfaction and develop opportunities for follow-up projects that advance the vision for improving the customer product development process.
Requirements
  • BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical/Civil/Aerospace or related field.
  • Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Ansys' business and is/will be sought out for advice by other Ansys engineers.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer-facing roles using engineering software.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of time.
