Women's Health Specialist

A leading health services network, Tandym Group, is seeking a skilled Women’s Health Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive prenatal care, including regular check-ups, monitoring the health of both the mother and the developing fetus, conducting ultrasounds, and performing necessary prenatal tests.
The Women’s Health Specialist will also assist and support women during labor and childbirth, providing care by monitoring the mother’s recovery, assessing the newborn’s health, and addressing any postpartum concerns. Additionally, they will offer routine gynecological care, including annual exams, Pap smears, screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and contraceptive counseling.
The successful candidate will have 2+ years of relevant work experience, an Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree, and be a NJS Certified Nurse Midwife. They will also possess solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills, as well as excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including regular check-ups and monitoring the health of both the mother and the developing fetus.
- Assist and support women during labor and childbirth.
- Provide care by monitoring the mother’s recovery, assessing the newborn’s health, and addressing any postpartum concerns.
- Offer routine gynecological care, including annual exams, Pap smears, screenings for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and contraceptive counseling.
- Provide education and counseling on family planning methods, birth control options, and fertility awareness.
- Offer care and support to women during the menopausal transition, addressing symptoms such as hot flashes, mood changes, and hormonal fluctuations.
- Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum periods.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree.
- NJS Certified Nurse Midwife.
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.
- Patient oriented.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
