We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to join our fast-paced Pulmonary Clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a remarkable patient experience as one of the first points of contact for patients.
  • Responsible for important preparation work such as taking vitals, noting patient needs and concerns, and assisting with clinic procedures and exams.
  • Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Facility Requirement: Travelers must have a permanent address outside of a 50-mile radius of Madison.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • Licensure and Certification: Certified as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN.
  • BLS must be certified through the American Heart Association.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or two years of recent Medical Assistant experience and current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
Additional Requirements:
  • Needs two completed references from recent work environments/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
  • Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
  • The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
Location:

Floating between 600 Highland Avenue, Madison, WI, and 202 S Park Street, Madison.

Shifts:

40 hours/week, Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, depending on clinic needs.

No weekends.

State License Details:

Must be currently active.

Minimum years of experience: 2.

Minimum guaranteed hours: 40.

MUST MEET CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS NOTATED ON THE CHECKLIST.

MUST HAVE ALL COMPLIANCE ITEMS BY THE WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO THE START DATE.

LEVEL 1 REQUIRED/NO EXCEPTIONS DUE TO ACUITY.

HAVE TO READ TELE/NO EXCEPTIONS.

TELE TEST REQUIRED FOR ALL RN'S.

MUST PASS TELE TEST IN ORDER TO WORK AN ASSIGNMENT AT UW.

MUST HAVE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE. IT'S REQUIRED.

Time off requests need to be mentioned and discussed during the interview.

If your candidate has a travel partner, it must be notated on their submittals. We do NOT guarantee assignments to one or the other just because they are travel partners.
