Petco Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Petco Veterinary Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to pets and their owners. As a critical member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch patient care, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication with clients and colleagues.

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vital signs, and document patient visits in electronic medical records.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia procedures under direct supervision.
• Perform laboratory sample collection, handle medications, and maintain electronic medical records.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients on test results, and manage accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures, monitor anesthesia, and ensure safe recovery.
• Provide in-hospital treatments, administer medications, and keep patients clean and comfortable.

• College or college-equivalent education as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude, with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations.
• Telephone and computer skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team, learn new techniques, and adapt to change.
