About the Data Scientist Position

Corner Alliance is a dynamic consulting firm that provides an enriching employee experience while creating meaningful results for the government. We seek a Data Scientist with 7+ years of experience to join our team and deliver results.

As a Data Scientist supporting our Federal government client, you will design, develop, and implement best available models and solutions to agency challenges and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and facilitate analyses, issues identification, risk assessment, and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare data, implement data models, and develop data management tools to support end-to-end solutions.
  • Carry out our commitments to deliver, grow, and thrive.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline and 7 years of professional experience.
  • Experience serving as a data scientist on a complex technology implementation or data analytics project.
  • Ability to lead larger teams and mentor other scientists.
  • Strong expertise in applying pattern-recognition techniques to large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets.
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques.
  • Experience developing databases with SQL.
  • Development experience with Python, R, SAS, Tableau, or AWS.
  • Proficient experience in both small and big data environments.
  • Working knowledge of federal grant-making policies.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with key federal evaluation policy and guidelines.
