About the Role

Pride Health is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Specialist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your writing and editing expertise to create engaging content for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

This role involves serving as a writer, editor, and content creator for various communications vehicles, including newsletters, intranet sites, and national corporate magazines. The successful candidate will possess strong oral communication skills, exceptional writing talent, and the ability to organize complex information into logical and readable communications.

The primary duties of this position include researching and writing news stories, interviewing employees, gathering background information, and securing photos and graphics for inclusion on the Connect intranet. The ideal candidate should have a customer service mindset, work well with others, and possess experience working with executives.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Journalism, Communications, or English
  • At least 3 years of related experience in corporate communications or publishing
  • Strong understanding of effective marketing communications principles and writing and editing standards

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $37 per hour, based on the location in Houston, TX, and the company's pay range.
