Office Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Specialist. This dynamic role will support our permitting department and provide exceptional customer service to both the public and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of administrative duties, including data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of our department's operations and provide support to the Office Administrator as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external visitors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize independent judgment and initiative to streamline tasks and improve processes, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and objectives, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years of office clerical experience.
- Proficiency in typing, word processing, database, spreadsheets, internet, and email applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
The Office Specialist will work in a climate-controlled building, with occasional outdoor duties. The position requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, as well as frequent bending, stooping, and fine manipulations.
Technology RequirementsThe Office Specialist will be required to operate a variety of technology systems, including desktop and laptop computers, calculators, and photocopiers. Proficiency in computer hardware and software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications, is essential.
