About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas of Monmouth/Mercer County and Surrounding Areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose issues with vehicles, using advanced tools and equipment to identify and repair problems.
  • Tire and Brake Services: Perform tire rotations, replacements, and repairs, as well as brake pad replacements and other brake-related services.
  • Engine and Cooling Systems: Repair and maintain engine cooling systems, including radiators, hoses, and belts.
  • Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including battery, starting, and charging systems.
  • Steering and Suspension: Repair and maintain steering and suspension systems, including alignment and balancing.
  • Exhaust Systems: Repair and maintain exhaust systems, including mufflers and catalytic converters.
  • Visual Safety and Courtesy Inspections: Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles to identify potential safety issues and provide courtesy inspections for customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus.
  • Certifications: State-specific auto repair certifications.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team; knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics; track record of high personal productivity.
  • Tools and Equipment: Own tools and equipment, including diagnostic scanner and tools.
