Nurse Care Specialist

InGenesis is currently seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care to a detention population. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and individualized care, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care to patients within the scope of practice, performing functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and granted privileges.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring effective and efficient care delivery.
- Respond to and coordinate responses to medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient encounters electronically, adhering to current standards of care and maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
- Associate's or baccalaureate Registered Nurse degree from a program accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Current, full, and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
- One year of professional experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 10 minutes and maintain balance.
- Ability to respond to medical emergencies within 4 minutes, requiring fast walking or jogging to provide assistance.
- Ability to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
- Ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency, requiring lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self.
- Ability to see, hear, and smell with or without the use of aides if necessary.
- Ability to easily alternate between kneeling and standing.
- Ability to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces (cement floors) for long periods of time.
