Research Technicians

Job Summary

Villanova University is seeking a highly qualified Research Technicians - Educational Development and Assessment Specialist to join our research team for an innovative educational development project. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in refining and completing subject-specific content for an immersive online educational program to teach integrated geography, mathematics, and geology through the lens of geologic and dinosaur paleontological work.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) on the development of specific set of modules for the online program.
• Refine and complete subject-specific educational content for the VFT modules.
• Leverage curricular expertise to optimize the adaptability of the VFT to existing high school curricula.
• Align learning objectives and educational content to closely meet state and national educational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required and other state-mandated teaching certifications.
• Minimum of one year experience high school teaching in geography, geology, or mathematics.
• Strong curriculum development skills and familiarity with educational policies and standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with PIs and contribute to the ongoing development of educational modules.
• Commitment to working during the summer months.

Preferred Qualifications

• A knowledge of multimedia resources and the ability to incorporate them into online lessons preferred.
