AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information for internal use and routine statutory reporting to the parent company in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily cash analysis and reconciliation, including reporting to AGC Capital.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare ad hoc and standard analysis for internal reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive cost accounting analysis to identify and track manufacturing costs and variances.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate customer profitability and business units' financial performance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow.
- Investigate variances from budget and business plans.
- Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations as assigned.
- Continuously seek process and financial reporting improvements.
- Track and monitor capital projects for completion and capitalization.
- Communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Complete special assignments as requested by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required. MBA or CPA a plus.
- 5 to 7 years of prior experience in financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing and/or distribution.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office application) and ERP aptitude.
- Knowledge of accounting and control principles (GAAP/IFRS/SOX).
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting system platforms, preferably Workday adaptive planning or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy to meet deadlines, investigate problems, and make sound decisions based on findings.
- Good communication skills. Interaction with personnel in all company departments and locations is required.
- Onsite/In office work required.
