Job Description

The Fresh Factory is seeking a skilled Plant Accountant to join our operations and finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing performance and providing valuable insights to improve our operations and manufacturing process.

We are a vertically integrated platform from farm to shelf, focusing on the future of food and beverage. Our goal is to provide honest food for all, and we believe in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze standard costs of materials, labor, and overhead, ensuring accurate cost allocations for production.
  • Investigate and report on work order variances, providing insights into production inefficiencies and driving corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to review cycle counts, research inventory discrepancies, and ensure accurate inventory valuations within the ERP system.
  • Assist in the monthly close process, including posting various closing journal entries.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Lead the finance team in new product costing and commercialization processes.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and assist the team in reviewing future capital investments.
  • Assist in the yearly budgeting process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-4 years of work experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge.
