As a Fleet Technician, your daily activities will include:
- Independently performing preventive maintenance and repairs
- Utilizing advanced technology and programs such as voice applications for PM, Noregon diagnostics, Mitchell 1, and predictive analytics
- Developing your skills while working on a diverse range of Pepsi's fleet, including cars, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts
- Diagnosing vehicle issues and executing necessary repairs
- Maintaining accurate documentation, including vehicle records and pre-trip inspections
- Responding to service calls as needed
- Contributing to the maintenance of one of North America's largest fleets
While we offer extensive training and continuous education to enhance your existing maintenance skills, we do have some minimum requirements:
- Must possess basic hand tools; diagnostic and specialized equipment will be provided
- Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and climbing
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Valid CDL required or must obtain one within six months of employment
- Successful completion of DOT physical and road test (if applicable)
- Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable)
- Mechanical expertise in gas and diesel systems
- Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems
- Understanding of internal combustion engines
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Compliance with DOT regulations
- Experience repairing forklifts, including propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in using computers for diagnostics and maintenance management
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and current technologies
- Experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL
- Repair experience with heavy-duty equipment and light trucks
