Compunnel seeks a compassionate Pediatric Nurse to provide exceptional care for children from infancy through adolescence. This role involves utilizing expertise in pediatric healthcare to ensure young patients receive the highest quality of care, while also offering education and support to their families.

About the Role

This position plays a critical role in assessing, treating, and comforting children throughout their healthcare journey. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of child patients upon arrival, including gathering medical history, assessing symptoms, and measuring vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of child patients, including medical history, symptoms, and vital signs.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Perform and assist with diagnostic tests such as blood draws, urine analysis, and other lab work necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, IV fluids, and injections, while monitoring for any potential side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Medical Procedures: Assist with or perform minor medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop tailored treatment plans for each patient, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Follow-Up Care: Coordinate and schedule follow-up care, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed to support long-term health and recovery.
  • Family Education: Provide clear and compassionate guidance to family members on treatment plans, medications, at-home care, and follow-up appointments.
  • Emotional Support: Offer emotional reassurance to young patients and their families during challenging times, fostering a trusting relationship with both.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Basic Life Support certification. Additionally, we offer an estimated annual salary of $85,000 - $110,000 based on your experience and qualifications.
