Distribution Center Management Trainee

At Menards, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Management Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our Distribution Center team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt and shipment of products to our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Department Management to learn each department's functions and contribute to the Distribution Center's success.
  • Manage and lead team members in your area to ensure all product is received and shipped in the most efficient way.
  • Keep all areas in good repair, orderly, and clean, and utilize equipment to capacity to fill orders.
  • Enforce safety policies, maintain up-to-date training, and ensure all equipment is guarded and well-maintained.
  • Document safety training and maintenance, and maintain open communication with team members regarding safety issues.
  • Work with supervisors and managers to accomplish goals and develop innovative ideas to improve current processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, such as Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent management experience.
  • Ability to relocate, write and speak clearly, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and tactfully deal with guests and team members.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, self-motivation, and goal orientation.
  • Ability to multitask, articulate, develop action plans, and make decisions.
