Job Description

Mewbourne Oil Company is seeking a skilled SCADA Software Engineer to support field operations in Hobbs, New Mexico. As a key member of our Instrumentation and Electrical department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our SCADA platform, which serves as an interface for our operators to interact with our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with petroleum engineers to build out new features and integrate new devices
  • Develop and maintain our SCADA platform to improve efficiency and remote supervision
  • Work closely with the Automation Manager to ensure seamless integration with existing systems

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL programming languages
  • Experience with Linux Ubuntu and Git
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and LAN networking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1 Perspective
  • Azure DevOps
  • MQTT Sparkplug B

Schedule:

Predominantly Monday – Friday with some weekend work, as needed. Mix of office and field-based work with frequent trips to field locations.
