The MetroHealth System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will utilize ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic medical sonograms to aid in the diagnosis of disease in neonates through adult patients. You will uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

**Responsibilities:**

* Perform a variety of diagnostic medical sonograms to aid in the diagnosis of disease in neonates through adult patients
* Utilize ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnoses
* Maintain accurate records and reports

**Requirements:**

* Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an advanced certification in Sonography (Abdominal and OB/GYN)
* Possess the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with specialties in Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
* Valid BLS Certification from the AHA or obtains within the standard probationary period
* Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* OB/GYN Registry-eligible with the ARDMS, including completing a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography training program
* Possess a RDMS credential from ARDMS with a specialty in Obstetrics within 6 months of employment
* Possess or obtain within 12 months of employment one or more OB-specific certifications including the Nuchal Translucency (NT) from the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) or Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR)

**Physical Requirements:**

* May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
* May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs
* May need to sit or stand for extended periods
* See in the normal visual range with or without correction
* Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
