As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician at S&ME, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials. Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project goals
  • Conducting on-site inspections and logging observations and test results
  • Utilizing management tools for efficient data handling and coordination
  • Ensuring equipment calibration meets industry standards for accuracy and reliability
  • Performing special inspection tasks in accordance with IBC guidelines
  • Engaging with management, contractors, and clients to ensure transparency and provide progress updates
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
  • Two or more active certifications in construction materials testing (e.g., ACI, NICET, ICC)
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

You will be working outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing for up to 8 hours a day, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Travel may be required for out-of-town assignments.
