Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Consultant to join our Human Resources Outsourcing team. As a Payroll Consultant, you will be responsible for performing client activities, including processing payroll, multi-state payroll and registrations, payroll tax filings, and client support for Payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll, multi-state payroll and registrations, and payroll tax filings for clients.
  • Provide client support for Payroll functions, including benefits deductions, workers' compensation, leave management, employee on-boarding, employee terminations, and policy administration.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with senior-level executives and decision makers within each client organization.
  • Communicate with clients on projects relating to Payroll support, issues, and deliverables.
  • Practice advanced communication skills to effectively interact with clients and vendors.
  • Adhere to HR Outsourcing group's principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely client support for Payroll functions.

Requirements

  • College level studies in Human Resources, Payroll, or Business Consulting, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Payroll related job responsibilities.
  • Experience and proficiency in various industry-related software, including Payroll Processing programs, benefits portals, and/or others as needed.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet operational deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for professional interactions with vendors and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP, or CPP (or other relevant professional certification) preferred.
