A Day In The Life As A Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant under the Director's leadership will support family businesses through full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reporting, data analysis, and monthly closing of books. This role requires maintaining books and records in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, company policies, and industry practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, company policies, and industry practices.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Record financial data accurately and timely within management expectations, company policy, and accounting standards.
  • Provide high-level customer service behaviors for both internal and external customers.
  • Support team members in various areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, purchase cards, intercompany, etc.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university required.

3-6 years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Public accounting experience is a plus.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) active or working towards certification.

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Spreadsheet Server, Power BI, and Concur preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
