Job Overview

Johnson Controls International is seeking a skilled Fire and Security Technician to join our team. As a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain fire and security systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist experienced personnel with troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Perform required commissioning documentation and provide accurate information for as-builts documentation.
  • Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, and engage in continuous proactive customer interactions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma plus one year experience in installing fire or security systems is required.
  • Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronics training is desired.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to explain technical information to non-technical people are essential.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET Level I Certification.
  • Prior experience within the Fire/Security industry with basic knowledge and understanding of Fire/Security systems, database structure, network configuration, and analysis.
