The Role

Fidelity Investments is seeking a seasoned Vice President, Architecture to spearhead the development of our digital future and drive the transformation of our business. As a key member of the Workplace Platforms team, you will play a critical role in building a modern Stock Plan Services recordkeeping platform, while driving the adoption of common WI capabilities such as product configuration, participant data management, and data exchange with clients and partners.

  • Architectural Approach: You will bring a deep understanding of architectural principles and a proven ability to conceptualize, design, and construct data and processes that meet business objectives.
  • Platform Modernization Experience: With extensive experience in modernizing financial platforms, you will leverage enterprise patterns and tools to deliver secure, highly resilient, and scalable solutions.
  • Communication: As a strong communicator, you will be able to articulate architecture solutions to senior executives and architecture leadership, driving program messaging and influencing decisions.
  • Collaboration: You will possess the ability to navigate complex interpersonal relationships and build partnerships across the firm at all levels.
  • People Management: With senior-level experience in managing, leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people, you will be able to foster a high-performing team.
  • Leadership: You will provide technical leadership and hands-on day-to-day solutions to squads, leveraging your strong management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Influencing Skills: As a collaborative leader, you will employ a collaborative approach to gain consensus and support for the needs of the work, understanding organizational dynamics and adapting proposals to efficiently navigate constraints.
  • Business/Application Knowledge: You will have a deep understanding of the Stock Plan Services domain model and the business practices of participant and associate personas.
The Expertise You Bring
  • You will bring good communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, influencing and engaging across Fidelity.
  • Confirmed experience in Modern Architecture techniques and Cloud Data Technologies.
  • Experience practicing Business Architecture, including aligning Business and Technology strategies, Customer Journeys, Capability Modeling, and Roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability in defining and delivering on application or software architectures, architecture strategies, and solutions.
  • 5+ years of successfully using public cloud service providers (AWS/Azure) and building platforms.
