Maintenance Technician Job Description

This is a salary, non-exempt level position at ADM Milling in Taylorville, IL. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on industrial equipment, including welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on industrial equipment
  • Weld and fabricate parts as needed
  • Install and maintain equipment
  • Respond to call-ins and work overtime as needed

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment installation
  • General mechanical ability
  • Previous experience working in grain elevators a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to climb stairs, perform lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, work over water, bend, kneel and respirator qualified
  • Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dusty environment
