This position is responsible for coordinating the movement of equipment and associates to ensure efficient product conveyance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile lists of available equipment and assign it according to factors such as trip length, product requirements, and driver consistency.
  • Maintain dispatch sheets for night and day shipping.
  • Direct driver activities through available communication methods.
  • Communicate with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
  • Maintain and update customer files in the road network.
  • Collaborate with departments regarding label runs and invoice releases.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and DOT laws.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and three months of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic desktop PC skills.
  • Basic knowledge of DOT laws governing hours of service for CDL drivers.
  • Acceptable MVR for the previous 39 months.
  • Availability to work with the demands of the department, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly standing and walking.
  • Reaching with hands and arms to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
