About the Role

Austin Powder is seeking a skilled Explosives Specialist to provide blasting services at customer sites while ensuring safety and meeting customer requirements. This position offers a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct field tests to determine explosives requirements
  • Read and interpret drill patterns, instructions, and diagrams
  • Communicate with personnel on the job site to ensure preparedness
  • Arrange and detonate shots, conducting pre- and post-shot safety audits
  • Complete necessary paperwork and comply with customer policies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 21+ years old
  • Current blaster's license
  • Experience with initiation systems, laser profiling, and seismographs
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Meet requirements of all state and federal explosive laws
