Medical Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Medical Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our donors, ensuring a positive and safe experience for all.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to donors, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy procedures to collect plasma from donors.
- Monitor donors during the donation process, managing any reactions or issues that may arise.
- Operate and maintain plasmapheresis equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and performing troubleshooting tasks as needed.
- Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal.
- Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, and temperature measures, as well as monitor electronic donor questionnaire systems.
- Perform finger sticks, test samples, and record other donor measures, including hematocrit, total protein, and weight.
- Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS).
- Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
- Support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes through the use of company-approved procedures, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.
