Join Our Team as a Medical Pathologist

District Medical Group is a leading provider of healthcare services, offering a unique combination of clinical expertise and academic excellence. We are seeking an experienced Medical Pathologist to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role.

About the Role:

  • As a Medical Pathologist with District Medical Group, you will have the opportunity to work in an academic setting, providing expert diagnostic services and supporting resident conferences and tumor boards.
  • With a focus on anatomic pathology, you will be responsible for sign out duties, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary duties include anatomic pathology sign out, covering approximately 10,000 surgical specimens, 2,200 non-gyn cytologies, 8,000 gynecological samples, 100 bone marrows, and 5-10 non-ME autopsies per year.
  • Teaching responsibilities will include pathology support for resident conferences and tumor boards, helping to educate and develop the next generation of medical professionals.
  • You will work closely with a team of skilled pathology assistants and cytotechnologists to ensure seamless operation of the laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or MBBS degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology required.
  • AZ licensure required by date of hire.
