We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse Specialist in Maternity Care to join our team at Providence Kadlec Regional Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced RN to work with a variety of patients, providing exceptional care and support in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This full-time position requires a registered nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and efficient delivery process, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and think critically in emergency situations. A strong understanding of neonatal resuscitation procedures, as well as ACLS and BLS certifications, is also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized patient care, including assessments, interventions, and education
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to stress and pressure. The L&D unit can be physically demanding, requiring prolonged standing, walking, and lifting. Regular breaks and self-care activities are essential for maintaining personal well-being and job satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing (BSN or ADN)
  • Current RN license in the state of Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
  • ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
