Upper Limb Specialist

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Certified Hand Therapist to join our team at Therapy - McLean. This role requires a licensed CHT with professional competency as a general practitioner in occupational or physical therapy, demonstrating independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches, initiative in following through with all procedures and policies, and effective communication skills.

As an Occupational/Physical Therapist with the Certified Hand Therapist credential, you will provide therapeutic interventions to prevent dysfunction, restore function, and/or reverse the progression of pathology of the upper limb (hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder) to enhance an individual's ability to perform tasks and participate fully in daily life situations. Using specialized skills in assessment, planning, and treatments, CHT's assist with improving upper limb function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed therapy as outlined by treatment plan and in accordance with practice guidelines. A comprehensive knowledge of the upper limb is required.
