Tehama County Health Services Agency is seeking a skilled and compassionate Crisis Health Worker I/II to join our team. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will provide critical support to individuals in need, working collaboratively with our staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective client care and nursing duties, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and charting client conditions.
- Offer on-scene crisis intervention and referrals to community members experiencing mental health crises.
- Perform duties as a treatment nurse, including wound care, skin tear management, and implementing appropriate treatments.
- Prescreen inmate requests to be seen by a physician/physician assistant, following established protocol.
- Equivalent to the completion of twelfth (12th) grade.
- Experience working in a 24-hour psychiatric or adult correctional facility is desirable.
- Completion of formal education leading to licensure/certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT).
- Valid California driver's license.
- Valid certification of registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
- Must complete periodic continuing education coursework as required to maintain active licensure.
- Must possess, or be willing to obtain, national provider identifier (NPI).
- CPR certification.
- Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough law enforcement background investigation.
