Job Title: Security Engineer

Job Overview:
Think Consulting is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on designing and implementing security solutions to protect our clients' sensitive data and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with staff to design and implement information security solutions that align with organizational goals.
Implement defensive technologies and monitoring solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
Provide daily maintenance, resolve issues, and serve as a resource for Service Desk ticket support.
Manage and update security configurations for firewalls, IDS, log servers, and related security infrastructure.
Share knowledge and expertise in a team environment, supporting the continuous improvement of security practices.

Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of progressive technical experience in the security field.
Hands-on experience with firewall management (Check Point preferred), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and web application security (OWASP Top 10).
Proficient in troubleshooting using tools such as command line and packet capturing.
Strong scripting skills (Python, shell scripts) for security automation.
Demonstrated understanding of networking architectures and protocols.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IDS/IPS sensors and incident response.
Knowledge of FISMA compliance, continuous security monitoring, and Zero Trust architecture.
Hands-on experience securing wired and wireless networks, DNS, proxy servers, and DLP solutions.
Familiarity with AWS security (EC2, VPC, IAM, KMS) and automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CCNA/CCNP, AWS Security Specialty are a plus.
Experience managing CrowdStrike services and conducting penetration testing.
Expertise in vulnerability management tools like Nessus.
Strong knowledge of various operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS).

Pay Rate:
$55-60/hr.
