Quality Assurance Inspector II

At ASSA ABLOY, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector II to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our access control products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ISO testing of access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, and cards, including functional, operational, and destructive tests.
  • Conduct cosmetic inspections of access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, and cards readers for surface defects such as chips, scratches, contamination, workmanship, and physical damage.
  • Perform qualification tests and document results using appropriate forms and templates.
  • Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production supervisors.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure that all assembly, inspection, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
  • Participate in our continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), Preventive and Corrective Action, and Safety programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations.
  • Review drawings and specifications for access control products, assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, and cards, ensuring that incoming inspections can be performed against those specifications.
  • Conduct HID RMA evaluation processes for all HID access control product returns.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, including some experience in inspection. Experience in access control products is desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ISO requirements, instructions, and procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing is desirable.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance as deemed necessary by HID Global.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. weight, as needed.
  • Ability to work a Thurs-Sun 10hr shift or Fri-Sun 12hr shift.
